Jeonbuk Textile Mills Criticizes SNGPL for Reducing Textile Industry Gas Use

The spokesperson said that although the textile industry had contact with the Ministry of Finance and the Pakistani president, the management attitude of the SNGPL was stubborn, resulting in major losses to the textile industry, including layoffs of the labor force and delayed delivery of export orders.

APTMA spokesman said that since September 17, SNGPL has increased the air-breathing time of the textile industry from two days of air-defence that has been agreed to three days. This issue has been discussed at the highest forum in the country. The forum requested SNGPL management to restore the number of stoppages in the textile industry to the original load management plan, that is, stop air for two days per week. However, all this was futile, and SNGPL still stopped the textile industry for three days a week.

APTMA spokesman said that in terms of electricity supply, SNGPL does not cooperate with the textile industry and there is no plan to suspend electricity for six hours. It plans to cut off electricity for four hours.
