At the “China Fiber Trend 2016/2017 Conference” held recently, China Chemical Fibre Assets Association issued the “Green Fiber” LOGO logo and awarded the first batch of eight companies that obtained “Green Fiber” certification. As a sign of this, China's fiber industry has officially entered the “green period” and the chemical fiber industry has ushered in a new milestone in green development.

Green fiber refers to raw materials that are derived from biomass and recycled materials, low carbon environmental protection during the parting process, and chemical fiber that is environmentally friendly after the finished product is discarded. The life cycle of the pleading product is “green”.

The “green fiber” logo is registered by the China Chemical Fibre Assets Association and registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for the certification of the recycling and reuse of chemical fiber, bio-based chemical fiber, and liquid coloring chemical fiber product materials. It can be used for fiber and yarn. Lines, fabrics, dress, home textiles, textiles for property and other fields. "After the company has been pleading, auditing, inspecting and approving, it can obtain the right to use the green fiber logo and take over the supervision and management of the trademark utilization process by the China Chemical Fibre Assets Association," said Wang Yuping, secretary-general of the China Chemical Fibre Assets Association.

Fiber is the source of textile property chains. At present, China's textile processing fibers account for more than 50% of chemical fiber, and over 90% of chemical fiber products originate from kerosene. Raw material costs account for more than 80% of the cost of delivery, and imports account for about 2/3 of the total demand for chemical fiber raw materials. 3. As a large-scale chemical fiber country that accounts for 70% of the world's output, if raw material achievements are not led by other countries, the development of green fiber has become a general trend.

Duan Xiaoping, president of the China Chemical Fibre Assets Association, said that in the context of the energy crisis that has become a global search and the concept of eco-environmental protection has become increasingly popular, the development of green fiber is not only a requirement for China’s chemical fiber property to achieve sustainable development and green development. It is also the need to adapt to and lead new consumer trends.

As the main force of green fiber, biomass fiber processed from agricultural, forestry, and marine by-products is cost-effective, sustainable, renewable, and highly compatible with humans. It is widely used in clothing, shirts, and home textiles. It can also be used in medical textiles, barrier cloths for radioactive materials, protective articles for shelter, water purifiers, and atmospheric filter materials.

China's abundant reserves of biomass raw materials also provide favorable conditions for the development of biomass fibers. According to statistics, the cost of crop stalks and trees in China is about 3 billion tons, sea shells and seaweeds are about 2 billion tons, and the cost of animal and plant egg white fibers is about 30 billion tons. In recent years, with the improvement of the company's R&D capability, chitosan fiber, bamboo pulp fiber, and hemp pulp fiber have continued to realize the propertyization, and China's biomass fiber is entering a rapid development channel.

Heismore Biotech Co., Ltd. is one of the first eight companies to obtain the "green fiber" certification. Haysmol pure chitosan fiber is a kind of biomass fiber extracted from shrimp and crab shells. It has natural antibacterial, anti-mold odor, rapid hemostasis and other functions. At present, Haysmore has opened up thousands of new products in the six fields of medicine, health, aerospace, military products, filtration, and apparel. In particular, masks and female care nurses have been favored by many consumers after they are put on the market. .

"In the 13th Five-Year Plan period, green fiber has become an important direction for China's chemical fiber companies to pursue development." Duan Xiaoping, President of the China Chemical Fibre Assets Association, said that the establishment and promotion of the "green fiber" certification system will guide the industry's green development. Advocating green planning, green materials, and green manufacturing will promote environmental protection and public health, and thus achieve the long-term goals of corporate development and social responsibility.
