According to the types of leather, the main ones are pigskin, cowhide, sheepskin, and horse skin. According to its hierarchy, there are the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer.

PU is a synthetic skin, fake leather. PU skin is the abbreviation of English ployurethane, chemical Chinese name polyurethane, also known as PU leather, PU skin with the opposite side of the leather with the second layer of leather, and then coated with a layer of PU resin, so it is also known as film leather. This artificial synthetic material has the texture of a genuine leather, is very durable, and is inexpensive.

PU leather and leather look very different, carefully identified, or can be distinguished:

1, touch the leather surface by hand touch, if there is a smooth, soft, plump, elastic feeling is the leather; and general artificial leather surface is astringent, rigid, poor flexibility.

2, seeing the real leather surface has a clearer pores, patterns, yellow leather has a more well-proportioned fine pores, steer hides have thicker and sparse pores, goat skin has scaly pores. The outermost leather garments are mostly sheepskins. The appearance of sheepskins is like fish scales and they are very well identified. The skin pores of leather are fine and dense, arranged in an irregular manner, and the cortex is smooth and clean; while the pores of pigskin are in a product-shaped triangular arrangement with loose cortex. The pores of the clothes of artificial leather are the same, while the pores of the leather are irregular. Check the depression can be used to see if the squeezing area of ​​the skin has fine lines scattered, check the cortical edge section. As forgeries are now getting better and better, analysis from the front becomes more and more difficult. From the cross section of the cortex, you can see some of them. The cortex of the dermis is more loose and the false skin is tighter.

3, odor all leather has a leather odor; and artificial leather has a strong irritating plastic smell.

5. Absorption of water The surface of the dermis has good water absorption, while the false skin, on the other hand, has better water resistance.
